Kaleidoscope Night presents Gaeilge & Gaoth

Kaleidoscope Night

2nd March 2016

at Bello Bar

Kaleidoscope explores something of an Irish language theme for its March installation at Bello Bar, through the medium of Irish composer Ian Wilson’s “Fuil is Uisce” and a unique presentation of Kate Bush songs, as Gaeilge, and compliments that téama Ghaeilge with stellar performances from Cassiopeia Winds.

***Programme***
The Caitríona O Leary Ensemble presents “Kate Bush as Gaeilge” which first featured as part of IMRAM, the Irish Language Literature Festival, in 2014.

Soprano Deirdre Moynihan and guitarist, Alec O Leary will perform “Fuil is Uisce” by leading Irish composer, Ian Wilson, a song- cycle setting of poems by renowned Irish language poet, Louis de Paor.

Cassiopeia Winds perform the beautiful Wind Quintet No. 1 by French composer, Jean Françaix, written in 1948.
Catriona Ryan and Matthew Manning will also present a duo work by the prolific German Baroque composer, Georg Philipp Telemann.
