East Cork Choral Society & Orchestra
This is a rare opportunity to hear this work, a pivotal piece in Handel’s career between his operas and oratorios. Cheerful, colourful and entertaining, the orchestra includes unusual instruments: recorders, 3 bassoons, french horns and a delightful harp concerto.
Our first rate soloists are Deirdre Moynihan, a specialist in this music, Jeffrey Ledwidge, a characterful bass and Peter Stobart. He is the talented new Director of Music at St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral and will perform another role - as our tenor soloist.
East Cork Orchestra is led by Eithne Willis.
The performance takes place in the atmospheric setting of St. Patrick’s Church, Lower Glanmire Road, Cork on Saturday, April 16th at 8.00p.m.
Tickets €20 are available at Pro Musica and the sacristy at St. Patrick’s Church.
